Welcome to Big Sky Chat House—a newsletter of candid conversations with movers and shakers in Montana.
Howdy, all. I hope this finds you well, and recently submerged in a river.
I’m writing you to tell you that I’m hitting pause on BSCH for the foreseeable future.
I’ve loved putting the newsletter together, and am beyond grateful to the 60-odd Montanans who were willing to subject themselves to my nosy questions over the past year and a half. They put themselves in an extraordinarily vulnerable position—at least by the standards of the day. Thanks to them, I feel more sensitive to the nuance buried in our politics, and, honestly, like a more empathetic person in general.
Infinite thanks to JJ Thomas and Marc Lax for their extremely generous support of Big Sky Chat House. They played an outsized role in keeping this thing afloat, and hopefully sold some dank weed in the process.
Huge thanks to the paid subscribers, and to everyone who has read, commented on and shared these interviews. You’ve made this experience a joy.
A couple of quick housekeeping notes:
Existing posts aren’t going anywhere. You can continue to read and share them at will.
I paused payments for subscribers a few days ago; no one should be billed moving forward. If you do receive a bill, please let me know and I’ll take care of it A$AP.
I’d be remiss to not shamelessly plug my main gig right now: Political Climate, a bipartisan climate and energy podcast that I produce. The hosts bring amazing experience and behind-the-scenes perspective to the table, and our guests include some of the sharpest, most knowledgeable folks in Congress and the clean energy economy.
Please stay in touch! You can always reach me at m.savagelevenson@gmail.com.
That’s all for now. Thank you!
Onwards!
